We’re over the moon to announce that the world’s favourite quirky heroine, Eleanor Oliphant, is reigning in joint No. 1 on the Australian book chain Dymocks “101 Top Picks”, alongside Markus Zusak’s The Book Thief.

This is the second year in a row that Gail Honeyman’s multi-award winning novel has claimed the top spot on this prestigious list, which is chosen by the Dymocks loyalty program customers.

This follows some fabulous news from the USA: for the past two consecutive weeks, Eleanor has re-entered the New York Times bestseller list in the Top 10, taking the total number of weeks on this list to an outstanding 79.

Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine has now sold over 3 million copies in the UK.

In 2019, this novel was shortlisted for was shortlisted for the Comedy Women in Print Award, founded by award winning comedian, Helen Lederer, and Gail was nominated for an incredible 19 awards in 2018, as well as being named as the official bestselling book of the year.

The screen adaptation of Eleanor Oliphant is set to be produced by Reese Witherspoon’s company, Hello Sunshine, in partnership with MGM Studios.

The script will be written by Liz Hannah, esteemed writer of the Stephen Spielberg film, The PostReese herself is said to want to star as Eleanor.
