We’re so excited to announce that agency author Leisa Stewart-Sharpe has been commissioned to write a major new children’s non-fiction series, Blue Planet II, in collaboration with BBC Earth and published by Puffin.
The first in the series will be published in November this year, allowing its readers to delve deep below the sea, and discover stories about the beautiful creatures that live in the oceans depths. The books will also have a focus on conservation, showing readers what they can do to preserve these animals and protect the watery wilderness.
Puffin Editorial Director, who acquired the rights for the series from BBC Earth, said of the deal: “This is a truly exciting addition to our Puffin non-fiction publishing. The BBC Planet programmes have shaped the way we think about our natural world, and we are delighted to publish these inspiring non-fiction books for children and parents alike. The book will feature text from our very own Leisa Stewart-Sharpe, and gorgeous illustrations from Emily Dove.
