Mark Edwards was one of two authors invited to the launch of the inaugural Capital Crime Festival this week. He sat in conversation with bestselling author Louise Candlish, hosted by BBC Radio 2 Book Club presenter, Joe Haddow, to talk about the global appeal of Crime and Thrillers. The Festival will take place in September this year.
The Dead Good Award shortlists have been announced and it’s time to get voting as four agency authors are up for prizes. C.L. Taylor’s Sleep has been nominated for two awards – the “Cancel All Plans Award for the Book You Can’t Put Down” and “The Dead Good Recommends Award for Most Recommended Book”.
Fiona Barton’s The Suspect and C.J. Tudor’s The Taking of Annie Thorne have also been nominated for the Awards – both for the “Nosy Parker Award for Best Amateur Detective” and Mark Edwards has been nominated for the “Cat and Mouse Award for Most Elusive Villain” for his novel The Last of the Magpies.
